Applying for a grant from the Veterans’ Foundation:

The Veterans’ Foundation provides grants to eligible organisations that provide assistance to serving and former members of the armed forces community, operational qualified seafarers and their immediate families.

The trustees will consider a range of factors including the projects or items being funded, the number of beneficiaries, the importance of the grant to the applicant organisation, the efficiency of the organisation and the needs of the beneficiaries. Please ensure that you read the grant guidance relevant to the funding programme you select before applying for a grant from the Veterans’ Foundation. Timeline for Standard/Salary Grants funding decisions:

The Veterans’ Foundation is pleased to be extending our rolling grants approach to both Standard and Salary Grants on a trial basis. This approach aims to remove the pressure of application deadlines, providing greater flexibility for applicants and supporting greater consistency in our decision-making.

We will make every effort to meet the decision timelines indicated above and appreciate your understanding if a short delay is required as we test and refine this approach. Please feel free to get in touch at any stage if you would like an update on your grant application - we’ll be happy to help.

Limit to number of applications:

Due to high demand in grant funding applications, please note, if you have an existing grant award, you may submit an application for a new grant after 6 months from the date of the previous award.

We hope that the information provided here is useful but if you need further support and guidance before applying, please e-mail grants@veteransfoundation.org.uk
